I’m back!
Been away for too long. Pondering all things life, exams and ENT. While I was away, I got to spend time with family, with myself (in a Monastery – that’s another blogpost in itself) and with books. I’ve learnt a great deal, and will share when I’m ready.
For now, I just wanted to tell you that I was bored assisting in surgery the other day, and came up with an ENT song.
Do you remember Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music singing ‘My Favourite Things?’. Well, I started singing my own ‘Favourite Things’ to the tune of that song. Here’s how it went:
Parotidectomy, tonsillectomy
Modified radical cool neck dissection
Laryngo, pharyngo, oesophagoscope
These are a few of my favourite things
Skull base resection and rhinoplasty
Microlaryngoscope and laser resection
Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty
These are a few of my favourite things
Laryngectomy and cricohyopexy
Mandibulectomy and fibular grafting
Don’t forget grommets and one fullhouse FESS
These are a few of my favourite things
When the boss bites
When the nurse whinge
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don’t feel so bad.
I wished you could hear me sing this song in person. My wife heard it, and was so astonished and annoyed by it, she didn’t know what to do with me.
